Methodology & corrections
Blindspot PH shows how different outlets covered the same Philippine story. The interface is the neutral party: we present what each outlet said, attributed and linked, and draw no conclusions of our own.
How we compare coverage
- No verdicts. We never assert who is right, guilty, or innocent, and we never label an outlet by political camp. Every factual claim is attributed to a named outlet and linked to its source.
- Foregrounded, not biased.Each article is tagged by which competing account it gave prominence to (story-specific Side A / Side B), reviewed by a human. “Foregrounded” describes prominence, not truth, endorsement, bias, or motive.
- Agreed means cross-outlet.A fact appears under “What all sides agree on” only when at least two named outlets carry it. A single outlet's report is shown separately and attributed, never presented as consensus.
- Ownership as sourced fact. Outlet ownership is shown as a dated, sourced fact, never converted into a political label.
- AI-drafted, human-reviewed. The Record is drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by a person before publishing. We link to the primary record (official documents) wherever possible.
- Quotation, not republication. We link to each outlet and quote a short attributed snippet; we do not republish full articles or outlet photos.
This preview runs on illustrative sample data. Outlet names are real, but the sample headlines, quotes, and links are placeholders, not real reporting.
Corrections & right of reply
If something we published is inaccurate, or if you are an outlet or person named and want to respond, we want to fix it quickly. Once the product is live you will be able to:
- request a correction to any specific claim, with the source you believe is correct;
- exercise a right of reply — we will attach or link your response alongside the coverage;
- request takedown of any item you believe infringes your rights.
Corrections and right-of-reply intake is not wired up in this preview. Methodology and legal wording will be reviewed by Philippine counsel before any public launch.
